True. I think the cheapest Aston starts at 80 large.

While an Aston is my dream car, if I was spending that kind of money I would opt for something else. An Aston would only be worth it if you shot for the top.

I would settle for a nicely equipped DB9. I think those go for around the $150,000 mark. It's the DBS that pushes $200,000.

Sure, but you were talking about about the models starting at $80,000. I think that for that money I would prefer a top-of-the-line something else instead of the bottom-of-the-line Aston. Even at $150,000 I might opt for a decked-out version of another car, like the Alpina B7 version of the BMW 750:

Or something else in that class.

There are a lot of cars for that money. Plus, if you're spending that kind of coin, it's certainly not going to be your only car. I would be sorely tempted by the Aston if I had $150,000 lying around and nothing else to spend it on. Mind you, if I got the DBS, I could get the matching Jaeger Transponder watch . . . .

Of course, for the same money I could get a pair of Model Sevens with some tasty Theta electronics to power it, and have change left over for a 2011 Buick Lacrosse.

None of which handles as well as the Aston . . .

No, but the Model Sevens do sound better.

Well, they sound better across a wider spectrum of sounds, but an Aston engine doesn't exactly sound bad!

Not bashing the brand, but I can't say the same for Theta. I've never had the pleasure.

Oh, I will gladly take the sound of an Aston, never fear! But at this point of my life, my extravagent expenditures are focused on indoor activities. So to speak.

"The striking Aston Martin Bulldog. Designed in the 1980's to usher in a new age of angular, low profile and ultimately space aged design. Really impressive even now."

a car that the Italians would say is nice

I still prefer the DB lines--in 1963 DB5 flavour or present-day flavours.

I still prefer the late Seventies/Early Eighties model Vantage. Aston Martin + classic muscle car look = awesome:

That vantage reminds me of a cross between a mustang and an AMX.

yep yep... they let me out for good behavior...

been doing well... gains and losses...

my mom passed away a year ago...

had another baby... so now it's 3 daughters and a son...
my mom always wanted to have 3 kids in the family of same b'day... and you know what, she was there in spirit and helped push our lil andrew out in time... so the twins and lil one share same b'day!

we had an opportunity to get out of retail so we did... leased the space to Apple...

business goes well... for what it is...

i've spent some time away from computing and dabbling a bit into photography and now woodworking...

how are you?

I echo Iago (the first comment). That's rather incredible to have three children with the same birthday, even if two are twins. Guess you won't be getting much sleep these days with four youngsters running around though!

Things are okay on my end. Been busy with work, though 2012 has gotten off to a slow start. And, 'cause I'm an idiot for punishment, I decided to go back to school.
