There was another one on ebay that was quite beat and missing various parts. It recently sold for upwards of $140+ shipping. It had several severe scratches and was missing the hdd trays internal air duct dividers and some of the plastic pci retention clips.

I thought It had ended but apparently it didn't. It is up to $268.

I always thought that HP used too much plastic in the design of the case. The metal foot is a fairly cool design though.

I do not think that they had the eBay resale market in mind when they designed it!

Back when they were still producing full systems threads about the plastic pci retainers breaking on TNB were a common sight. In most all cases Ryan ended up having to dig up some spares and send them out.

So even back then I knew they had a sub par build quality.

True, but some things are just not meant to be shipped regardless. I think that a lot of designers (in general, not just computers) never think about details like that. I feel that way every time we change graphics on any of our products and the individual flavors start looking too similar; obviously none of the graphic designers have ever spent any time inside a dimly lit walk-in cooler, where the product has to be stocked while the employees cannot tell what is what.

Maybe it's not the coolers that are dimly lit?
