I am still very happy with my G2. Things move quickly in the cell phone world, of course, and it is already dated by current standards, but it is still plenty powerful for me.

To be honest, I think phone tech moves a little too quickly, but I wouldn't want to say that too loudly, lest I be labelled a total luddite. I'm not ready for that.

I hang around the kind of people who buy a new phone every couple of months. Bit much for me.

Okay Iago i gave swype a try and couldn't get used of it and i still don't like the stock keyboard. So I bought swiftkey awesome app it has the swype feature, but I don't use. IMO it's a lot easier to type with it then swype or the stock keyboard.

BTW I just discovered Pandora, fuck how much I missed out with the blackberry.

Another favorite app at the moment "Pulse" and "concur"(way nicer then what was on the blackberry") smoother faster, started to use quite a bit again starting to travel again and unbeknownst to me last week they laid-off two co-workers. Frak, I don't see a recovery anytime time soon. I had lunch meeting with my boss today and assured me I should not worry about losing my job. BTW I now have 51.5 accounts. love that 0.5 .... trust me I didn't question it. And HP can't ship my laptop any faster. I think I visited all porn site known to man already, I need to game.

Well, Swype is not for everyone.

Sorry to hear that you are in the your-job-is-not-in-danger-because-we-are-going-to-use-you-like-a-rented-mule category!

I would have the thought the sites you visit that shamelessly exploit rented mules to have given you a bigger chuckle, but what do I know.

25 cents for an awesome app

Post  mrblur on Sat Mar 10, 2012 12:14 am

The app is Paper Camera, I got it back when it was only 10 cents, it's down in price again for 25 cents... Here are some pics I have taken...

Interesting. I do not use most of those kind of apps because I can do the similar things with Photoshop, but if I sent a lot of pictures directly from the phone I can see where that would be a lot of fun.

And considering that a quarter doesn't really buy you a whole lot of fun these days, that app is a bargain.

What did you ever end up doing about a phone? I cannot remember if you mentioned.

Just been looking at them longingly, for now. I've had my current phone for about a year and a half. I prefer to keep my phones for three years and I'd like to get at least two out of this one, but you never know. I'm a typical guy. I like new toys.

Re: Blackberry apps

Most people complain about having to replace there battery before there contract is up (3 years) I only deep cycle charge my batteries (fully drain and fully recharge) and I have found that it significantly prolongs there life. I can not remember a single cell phone I have had to replace the battery on.

I do the same to notebook batteries and it also improves there life.
